INTRODUCTION:
The need for Independent Church Ministries in Nigeria to
unite and form a common front for kingdom minded christian living and
services is informed by the fact that older and established churches are
not encouraging the younger ministers and their ministries.
It is also clearly observed that many new churches and
ministries are exact duplications of those things that made them to
leave the old places. This is because they could only see what was bad
but know very little or nothing about what and how to do the right
things as approved by God and supported by the Holy Scriptures.
Based on these and by the direct leading of the Holy Spirit,
a new body known and called INTERCHURCH MINISTERIAL NETWORK has been
formed for the spiritual, moral and administrative securities of
Independent Church Ministers and their ministries to the glory of God
and the expansion of Christ’s kingdom in Nigeria and other parts of the
world.
MEMBERSHIP:
Membership in IMN is limited to young
ministers who are below fifty years of age and are heads of independent
church ministries and leaders of evangelistic Christian organisations.
Only registered members are holders of membership card.
One can become a member by first attending our two (2)
General Meeting as an observer an thereafter obtain a registration form
for membership from temporary secretariat.
A.
CATEGORIES OF MEMBERS:
1.

General meetings of the Network after which he could either register or
be advised to withdraw. Benefits of members are not applicable to

is duly registered.
3. Patrons:
These are senior ministers with proven integrity appointed by the
network to serve as advisers and sponsors for a period of four years and
may be re-appointed for another term. A Patron must be above fifty (50)

B.
BENEFITS OF MEMBERS
IMN is
established for the actualisation of the motto: “He maketh His ministers
flames of fire”, through a three-fold purpose;
1 Spiritual upliftment:
With constant and
united prayer retreats, prophetic bible expositions, informal
ministerial training, seminars, conferences and summits, members are
spiritually sharpened and equipped to take care of themselves and their
flock.
2. Moral
Backings:
The presence of members and their participations in other members’
personal and church / ministry programmes will go a long way to
assisting and encouraging members to succeed in life and ministry. Both
local and international connections are parts of moral support in the
Network.
3. Financial
Supports:
Money is very important in the ministry but the two problems of young
and independent ministers associating with it are: wrong (unscriptural)
means of getting money and lack of accountability. IMN serves as an
investment and accountability group to members. Accountability and
Investment Groups (AIG) exist in IMN to encourage and assist individual
minister to get, save and spend (GSS) money in scripturally approved
means of personal welfare and ministerial effectiveness.
Members must
belong to one of the Accountability and Investment Groups (AIG) of the
Network.
·
Group
One - N500 to N1,000
·
Group
Two - N2,000 to N5,000
·
Group
Three - N6,000 to N10,000
This is not a
contribution (Osusu) but a monthly investment of the said amount within
one’s group for savings in the bank. At the end of each year, a total
of ten month’s account is withdrawn by every member to carry out a
particular project in the family or ministry. The remaining two months
account is reserve for each member as a personal welfare package.
